Nominated for Award
Kirk Slankard has been nominated for a
Green Guardian award.
If national papers are to be believed,
teenagers enjoy nothing more than
lazing around in bed, but this is not the
case for Kirk. The 16-year-old Coopers
Technology College student is
responsible for recycling at his home
and hopes his Darwinian approach to
observing natural processes at work will
win him the coveted title of Young
Environmentalist (11 to 18) at this year’s
Green Guardian Awards. Good luck Kirk
